Where Did the Light Come from On Day One?
On day one God made the light. On day four He made the Sun.
If God made the light before He made the sun, where did the light come from?

When you walk into your room in the evening after dinner, what is the first thing you do? Well, you probably turn on your light so that you can see to find your toys or your schoolbooks. Where does the light come from when you flip the switch on the wall? It comes from electricity. You do not need the Sun to shine in your room all the time, because you have electricity that produces light. In fact, we get light from many places other than the Sun. Lightning bugs make light and so do some fish and creatures in the ocean. Revelation 21:23 talks about heaven and says that, “The city had no need of the Sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it and the Lamb is its light.” God always has been able to create light without the Sun just like He did on the first day of Creation. In heaven it will be daytime all the time, but there won’t be a Sun because God and Jesus will be bright enough to light up everything.
