Due to the brief nature of the debate, several of the assertions made by atheist Dan Barker could not be answered in the allotted time. This section of the A.P. Web site provides articles that respond specifically to these assertions. Additional articles that address various statements that Barker made during the debate will be added below as they are produced. Decisive Designs - As both creationists and evolutionists concede, where there is obvious design, there must be, just as obviously, a designer. The Decisive Designs section of our Web site is devoted to discussion of the designs that are inherent in the world around us. From the magnificent macrocosm that is the Universe itself, to the mind-boggling microcosm that is a single cell, that design is so self-evident that even the most jaded evolutionists have struggled in their attempts to “explain it away.” Here, we intend to provide incontrovertible examples of such design, including instances from the rapidly emerging, fascinating field of biomimicry, as well as evidence for the Designer behind it. Founders & America's Christian Origins - needed Homosexuality - needed In the News - Each week on the home page of the Apologetics Press Web site, we feature “in the news” items that explore current topics of interest to our readers. Generally, articles in this section of our Web site will be authored by members of the Science Department or Bible Department at Apologetics Press, or by interns who work in those two departments. However, on occasion other members of the staff may submit articles as well. The articles from our “In the News” section change every Monday. We realize, however, that the information contained in previous weeks submissions still remains useful, especially since some of the articles present in-depth research on the topic(s) under discussion. For that reason, we have chosen to archive each “In the News” item. You will find all of them listed below in reverse chronological order. Reason & Revelation - Published since 1981, Reason & Revelation includes articles on biblical inspiration, Gods existence, creation/evolution, the deity of Christ, and other topics in the field of modern apologetics. Most are written on a popular level for readers wanting an in-depth biblical approach but, on occasion, articles address more challenging scientific, social, and religious controversies. Back issues are available in the form of bound volumes. Please visit our WebStore for more details on these and other titles. Complete volumes of articles in HTML format now are available from 1994 to the present. You also may find a specific topic in any article by searching our Web site. As of January 1, 2001, a 20-Year Index for Reason & Revelation (1981-2000) is available. If you would like a copy for your records, or if you would like to search the index by subject or title, an Adobe® Acrobat PDF® version is available by clicking here. You must have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® software in order to view these files. If you do not have a browser with this plug-in, you may obtain a free version from the Adobe® Web site. In addition to our two monthly journals, books, tracts, article reprints, video tapes, audio tapes, and other items, Apologetics Press also has produced a number of research articles by different authors on a variety of topics. In the past, these Research Articles have been available only by purchasing them through our annual catalog. Effective January 2004, however, we decided to make them available completely free of charge by placing them in this section of our Web site, in order to make them more accessible (and at no cost). Scripturally Speaking - As the name “Apologetics Press” implies, all of our various efforts center on matters related to Christian apologetics and Christian evidences. However, in the course of dealing with those subjects, related matters routinely present themselves as well. From time to time, we receive pleas for assistance on issues that, at first glance, may not appear to be directly related to apologetics, but tangentially, certainly are. It is the purpose of the “Scripturally Speaking” section of our Web site to delve into those types of issues. Items covered here include such topics as the nature of God, religious unity and/or division, world religions, ethics and morals, matters relating to doctrinal purity, and numerous other important issues. Generally, articles in the “Scripturally Speaking” section of our Web site will be authored by members of the Bible Department at Apologetics Press, or by interns who have a special interest in Bible-related issues. However, on occasion other members of the staff may submit articles as well. Sensible Science - The work of Apologetics Press is dedicated to a rational defense of New Testament Christianity. In our day-to-day efforts in that regard, we generally find ourselves dealing with topics that fall into two broad areas: (1) Bible-related matters; and (2) science-related matters. In the “Sensible Science” portion of our Web site, we provide up-to-date critiques of current issues in science that routinely appear in popular magazines and scientific journals such as National Geographic, Nature, Newsweek, Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, Science, Science News, Scientific American, Time, U.S. News & World Report, etc. Stem Cell Research - needed
