Hidden In My Heart - CD
(Volume 1: Old Testament Passages)
by Jeff Miller, Ph.D.
Important evangelism verses that every child (and adult!) should memorize - made easy through song!
• Christians are commanded to be ready to give a defense to anyone at any time (1 Peter 3:15). Paraphrasing Scripture is a dangerous practice, and relying on human reasoning instead of Scripture is never a good idea. It is the Word of God that produces faith in others (Romans 10:17). So, we must be ready to use it.
• Being an effective evangelist includes learning how to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), as well as with understanding and discernment. However, it also requires simple knowledge of the relevant scriptures.
• The following passages speak to the importance of having God’s Word in our hearts: Psalm 119:11; Hosea 4:6; Ezra 7:10; Proverbs 3:1; 4:4; 7:2-3; 22:17-18; Deuteronomy 11:18-20
• Although there are many verses that are important for the Christian to commit to memory for spiritual growth, the verses in this curriculum were selected specifically for their value in various evangelism scenarios. See the “Hidden In My Heart” Memory Verse Curriculum (comming soon) for various evangelistic uses of these verses.
